Minangkabau and Mentawai culture is still very much untapped and exposure in general. From my brief observation, we can see that the Mentawai culture is still very much that has not been discussed in general. Most researchers who documented the Mentawai culture is the people from abroad. Should the people of West Sumatra, we help preserve our culture in a way seeking knowledge about our culture and sharing our knowledge with others. One site that discusses the Mentawai is the English-language site is mentawai.org.
